Jewelry Insider: Made from a combination of antique earrings and rings with emerald and blue sapphire birthstones called “verdadero” (local term used by local jewelry aficionados for old birthstones or “sinang-unang bato”). The jewelries boast of natural old cut diamonds and diamante. Diamante are hand cut stones from the outer crust of a diamond, produced back when sophisticated stone cutting equipment had not been invented yet.
