Recollect

The Recollect line is a private assemblage of very important and historically valued pieces that are kept as signature parts of the Maria Angelica portfolio.

The peineta (ornamental comb) or payneta gives us a renewed glimpse of our Spanish colonial past. Here, a handmade flower repousee graces a single folded sheet of silver to make a pendant that glides smoothly on a necklace of 10 pieces of fine omega stainless steel. Repousee or repoussage involves hammering relief designs by hand onto metal. It is known locally in Filipino as pinukpuk or pukpuk.
