Tamborines come in different sizes. Size choices depend on the preference of the wearer. And so goes for the length. Originally worn till the belly button, centuries of existence does alter its use and its journey. As it is passed on from generations to generations, they get shorter, divided among heirs or redesigned by the ones who inherit them making bracelets or earring from some of the beads from the original necklace. This Princess Tamborine are thought to have been worn by young maidens of the late 1800s. Today and centuries thereafter, these tamborines live to adorn the necks of the modern Filipina. Classic, timeless and cultural.
